A promise to extend a hand.

What We Do:  Friends of Long Creek Youth Development Center (FOLC) is an all-volunteer, 501c3 organization founded in 1995 that collaborates with the Long Creek Youth Development Center staff, Juvenile Community Corrections Officers, and other non-profits to develop and fund projects that are critical to reducing criminogenic risk factors and reducing recidivism. Our projects provide access to higher education and employment training. They focus on promoting healthy relationships with family; pro-social relationships with peers and community; and positive attitudes, beliefs and values. They also provide enrichment, recreational and sporting opportunities.

A promise to be there when we are needed.

Who We Are:  Friends of Long Creek Youth Development Center is a committed group of volunteers that has been helping youth involved in the criminal justice system to lead better lives since 1995. We believe that these youth deserve a second chance and that if we reach out, we can provide the kind of practical and emotional supports that really make a difference. We rely on donations from people like you to meet our mission.

“I want to thank you for the bike. I love it! I use it to work, home and just to go places. Please know how much I appreciate your kindness. Also again thank you for my laptop too. I was able to get my writing [counted] as a part of my English so if you could pass that along to [my former English teacher at Long Creek] I would very much appreciate it!”
